What If Every Woman Decided Not To Have Sex Before Marriage?

The word appraisal means the act of examining someone or something to judge their qualities, success, or needs. It is an evaluation process. If you are in the market to buy a house, would you purchase a home just because it looks good on the outside? The white picket’s fence looks fantastic, the lawn is immaculate, and the hedges are pruned and look lovely. You are excited about what you see and feel about this house by just looking at it. You turn to the sale agent showing you the property and declare, “This is the one!” You did not go inside the house or do an investigation to see if there is a lien on it or not. Just by its beautiful outward appearance, you decide to purchase this house. No sensible person will purchase a home just because it looks lovely on the outside. The appraisal of the house is part of the contractual agreement with the bank before the closing of the property takes place. As a matter of fact, this is just one step of many that you would have to go through before the sale is complete. The bank wants to make sure that the market value of the house is not lower than what the loan amount is or the asking price. Both the bank and the buyer want to ensure that the property is not being devalued or over priced. The appraisal or evaluation process will give both the buyer and the bank enough information to go through with the sale agreement.

When it comes to relationships, it should not be any different; you need to know whom you are dating, and to do so, you have to put them through the relationship appraisal process (RAP). The word of God declares to us that we must be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove (Matthew10:16). Some people are like wolves in sheep’s clothing, meaning they look good on the outside, but when you get to know them, you are surprised to know they are not whom they say they are. You cannot take anything for granted or at face value; work with the facts presented to you. Think with your head and not with your heart during this process. Pray to God and ask him for his help, especially when it concerns whom you want to marry. When you are dating, it is not an out-of-body experience. Please get your head out of the clouds. Think about what you are doing and seek counsel from trusted people in your life. I know you are spiritual and anointed, but you must be practical as well. This is about a man or a woman that you might be thinking about marrying and spending the rest of your life with. You cannot take any chances with your future. Love is not blind; it is wide-awake.

The relationship appraisal process(RAP) should not take place when you find out the person is interested in you or you in them. He or she should fit the profile based on time spent together or information you gather over time. The relationship appraisal process(RAP) takes more than just one date to make an assessment. It is not a process that you rush into; it takes time to get to know each other. Certainly, over a period, you will know if the relationship is leading to something special.

Over time, your date must be willing to answer some far-reaching questions. If they value you and the relationship and want to build something special. Then they must be prepared to give you answers at some point during this process. They must have the answers you are looking for to

see if they are worth your time. You only get twenty-four hours in one day, and you want to make sure you are not spending your time with a joker who is not ready for a long-term relationship.
