Just like any other day, you got up out of bed and pondered the same thoughts “Will this phase of my life ever change?” You are sick and tired of being sick and tired. You feel like a hamster on a wheel, you are going at max speed and thinking you are getting somewhere, but when you stop you realize you did not make any progress. Another year is almost over, and you are looking at all your goals, dreams, and visions you have written down. There are many challenges and setbacks, many doubters, and haters. You are building, but you feel like someone is watching your every move. You take three steps forward; then you find yourself going two steps back.
Troubled Marriage and Relationship
Your marriage is on the verge of failing. Everything that you do seems to go wrong. You compromise your character and integrity to make him happy, yet he tells you it is not enough. You tried to be the model wife going to church, serving in ministry, caring for your family and your home, yet you feel unappreciated and unloved. There is no passion or intimacy, and everything is done out of routine and obligation and not because of love. He does not look at you with those desiring eyes anymore.
As a husband, you work hard providing for your family. Nothing is off limits as long as you are making an honest living. You get up early and come home late, you walk in with no dinner prepared, no wife ready to greet you at the door. There is no thank you, or I love you, honey, for the hard work you do to provide for the family and keeping them safe. You feel disrespected and dishonored as a man. Your wife compares you to the Joneses, and everything you do is judged and held to a higher standard.
It Is Time To Turn The Page
God is about to rewrite your story; get ready to turn the page of your life. The next Chapter will be greater. What you are going through is just God preparing you for a more excellent season. Romans 8:28 says “ “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” How can all this be working for your good? With all the mess and hell that I am going through, can this be actually working for me? God, I am trusting you, but I can’t figure out this thing called faith.
God Is Working It Out
God works in “all things” not just isolated incidents—for our good. This does not mean that all that happens to us is good. Evil is prevalent in our fallen world, but God can turn every circumstance around for our long-range good. Note that God is not working to make us happy, but to fulfill his purpose. Note also that this promise is not for everybody. It can be claimed only by those who love God and are called by him, that is, those the Holy Spirit convinces and enables to receive Christ. God is working on your behalf; that is why the fight is so fierce and so hard to endure.
God Is The Author And Finisher
Everything that you are going through was a part of the process. God has been putting you through all of this to shape and form you for the next chapter of your life. It is a part of the process. You are about to rise from the ashes like a Phoenix.
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. An author is a story teller and knows what will happen in the next chapter. Jesus is the author and the finisher of your faith.” Hebrews 12:1-3.
Get ready for the next chapter; God is about to finish what he has started in you. All the tests you endure in your marriage and relationship is about to be over. Your trouble won’t last always. What you went through was not your resting place, it was your testing place. It is time for a new beginning; it is time to turn the page. Get Ready; your next chapter will be greater; this chapter has come to an end.
